Mermaid II is an ideal survey vessel boasting large free deck space for equipment and personnel. She is an MCA brown coded workboat. She has an Iveco 320 engine with speeds of 11-18 knots.
Skipper Adrian Thomas and crew Michael Wilkinson both have extensive experience in this field as they have both spent many years working for Trinity House.

Filming
Mermaid Pleasure Trips have experience in taking film and TV companies out to sea to film the stunning Cornish coastline and marine wildlife for documentaries, educational programmes and dramas. We also take companies out to film other vessels with actors and/or presenters aboard them or us. We have a large deck space suitable for carrying equipment and personnel and speed to get the job done quickly!

Memorial Trips
Mounts Bay is an idyllic setting for scattering ashes at sea. With the serene, magical beauty of St. Michael's Mount over looking the bay, we can take up to 28 family and friends to pay their respects and lay their loved ones peacefully at sea.

Educational Services - Schools
Mermaid Pleasure Trips know how important it is to educate children in marine environment, local industry and heritage and water safety. Aboard the Mermaid II, we take school parties out to sea for fishing trips and wildlife coastal cruises. These are part of activity days, team building skills and special award days where local pupils can hopefully see seals, dolphins, basking sharks, sunfish and bird life.
They can also try fishing for mackerel or pollock and learn about their local industry - the Cornish fishing trade.
